  Frequently asked questions

We have listed some of our most frequently asked questions below. If we haven't managed to answer your question here, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Do you offer a supply and fit service?
Yes, we can provide the complete bathroom service for you! That includes the layout and design of your proposed new bathroom, the supply and installation of all goods, sanitary ware and tiles, and all the plumbing and electrical work required. We can even provide a painting and decorating service for your walls/ceilings as necessary, if you so wish. Find out more about how the supply and installation service works >>

I'm not interested in the full package, I just want to buy a few pieces from you - do you do supply only?
Yes we do! If all you want are the goods or accessories, then we're more than happy to supply these to you at competitive prices.

Do you do free estimates and designs?
Of course! This is an integral part of our service. If you have any ideas for your proposed project, please do come in and talk to us! Talking into account any technicalities, we always do our best to work to our customers' ideas - we can also offer you technical and practical input into your design.

Do you do the whole job, from start to finish?
Absolutely! As detailed in the previous question, we can do practically everything!

Are your workmen all employed by Master Bathrooms?
Not all of our workmen are employed by Master Bathrooms, however each member of the team has worked alongside one another for up to 10 years, so we're confident in their ability and expertise. Each subcontractor also has their own public liability insurance. In the unlikely event that any problems should arise, they will be fully dealt with by Master Bathrooms.

Are your tradesmen qualified?
Yes, all our tradesmen are fully qualified and have experience in their areas of trade. It's in our best interests to supply you with the very best trades that we can.

Are your tradesmen English?
Yes! However we do use a Scottish carpenter!!

Do you have a returns policy?
Most goods are inspected on delivery. We ask you to check your goods at the earliest time possible. Once an item has been on site for 5 days, Master Bathrooms cannot accept responsibility for any damaged goods.

Obviously, everyone is entitled to change their mind! However we should make it clear to all customers that when we have to return goods, they are often subject to a returns handling charge by the distributor. This can be anything up to 30%, and as such, this handling charge will be passed on to the customer and be reflected in the final refund price.

Do you have any customer comments I could see? Or any previous jobs that I can look at before I make my final decision?
Yes of course! We have a customer testimonials page on this website, and all testimonials can also be read in our showroom. We usually have an ongoing installation that is possible to view, and sometimes we even have very obliging customers who will allow you to view their Master Bathroom installation. View customer testimonials here >>

What guarantees do you offer?
On installations, Master Bathrooms offer all customers a 2 year labour guarantee. Different manufacturers offer different guarantees on their products, and this can range from 2 years to in some instances, a lifetime guarantee.

What is a "wet area"? And what's the difference between that and a wet room?
A "wet-area" is very similar in principle to a "wet-room" but a more practical version. A wet room is essentially a large showering area without a tray or enclosure. The space must be properly prepared or ‘tanked’ before it is tiled to ensure that it is completely watertight, and ideally the area should be zoned to include wet and dry areas.

A walk in wet-area combines a low entry shower tray with a frameless glass screen. This creates a similar look to a wet room, but is a more practical solution for a main bathroom. The screen and tray will prevent the water from permeating other areas of the room. See our wet-area gallery for for details >>

My boiler has a problem, can you help?
We would recommend our old colleagues and friends Matt and Andy at Heatfix, on 01923 351891. They are experts in anything to do with central heating, boilers, and gas safety solutions.

Any more questions? Please feel free to contact us by telephone or email, or drop into the showroom and speak to myself Danny, or my colleague Lee.
