What is a "wet-area"?
In the example above, we used the ShowerLux tray which has been specifically adapted for use in wet areas and creates a step-up showering area that can be tiled. The tray can be cut to size, even shaped, and then tiled over in the customer's choice of tiles. The tray above has a curved edge, echoing the curved edge of the Bette Starlet bath. A large waste ensures greater water migration, and guarantees no danger of overflow. Frameless screens provide a streamlined look and are available in a variety of sizes and styles, to form walk-in wet areas (as shown here) or as a walk-through option. You can also create a wet area with a traditional shower tray, or a low profile shower tray option (see below):
Incorporating a wet area into your bathroom gives you almost total freedom of design. There are so many options, designs and styles that you can choose, your only real constraint is the size and layout of your bathroom. Would you love a wet area, but don't think you've got the space? Think again! For the more compact bathroom, you can also have the option of a walk-in showering area. This provides a constrained showering area that appears visibly more streamlined and contemporary looking than the traditional shower enclosure with doors. Walk-in showers are available in a range of sizes and options.
